Dental Hygienist

Duties

• Perform dental cleanings and oral examinations for patients
• Take and develop dental x-rays
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide recommendations for at-home care
• Document patient treatment plans and maintain accurate records in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
• Utilize dental software systems, such as Open Dental for scheduling and patient management
• Follow infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment

Skills

• Current Valid Dental Hygienist RDH license in the state of Georgia
• Strong knowledge of dental hygiene procedures and techniques
• Proficiency in using dental software systems, such as Eaglesoft, Open Dental, or Dentrix
• Familiarity with medical coding for dental procedures
• Excellent communication skills to effectively educate and communicate with patients
• Attention to detail to ensure accurate record keeping and patient care
• Ability to work well in a team environment alongside dentists, dental assistants, and other staff members
